WooCommerce Store Development
Three packages, starting prices you can plan around.
Catalog size is one part of a WooCommerce build. Final scope and price depend on design requirements, integrations, migration needs, and other complexity, confirmed in a written proposal after discovery.
WooCommerce Launch
Starting at $1,750
For new and smaller businesses launching a professional ecommerce storefront.
Professional WooCommerce theme setup and responsive configuration
Up to 5 categories
Up to 20 base products
Up to 100 total variations
Navigation and core store configuration
Payment, basic shipping, and tax configuration assistance
Products, variants, and collections are different.
A base product is the main item being sold. A variation is a purchasable option or combination under that product. A category groups products for browsing or merchandising.
10 shirts base products
× 5 sizes
× 4 colors
= up to 200 variants
Catalog count: 10 base products, up to 200 variants
Collections/categories organize products for browsing; they do not multiply the product count. The same shirt could appear in several categories, such as New Arrivals, Men's, and Sale, without becoming multiple products.
Package allowances count base products, total variations, and categories separately. Complex catalogs, data cleanup, migrations, copywriting, image preparation, or requirements beyond the stated allowances may require a custom quote or approved add-on.
Ecommerce friction
Where WooCommerce stores actually lose money.
Mobile conversion
Most shoppers are on a phone, and a lot of themes weren't really designed for that.
Navigation & discovery
Shoppers can't find what they came for, so they leave without buying.
Slow themes
Heavy apps and bloated themes drag load times and quietly kill conversion.
App sprawl
A dozen apps stacked on top of each other, half of them fighting for the same real estate.
Checkout friction
Extra steps, unclear shipping costs, and trust gaps that stall the sale at the finish line.
Manual order work
Someone on your team is still touching every order by hand, and weak reporting means nobody can see what's actually working.
Integrations & add-ons
Beyond the package allowances.
Need more than a standard package? Add catalog services, migration, custom design and development, advanced commerce features, integrations, analytics, or additional training. We scope these around your store, data, and operational requirements.
Additional catalog setup and data cleanup
Product copywriting and image preparation
Custom UI/UX and visual design
Custom PHP, CSS, sections, or templates
Premium themes and paid plugins
Advanced shipping, tax, or checkout-related configuration
Subscriptions, memberships, B2B, and wholesale
POS, CRM, ERP, email, marketplace, and API integrations
Store, customer, order, or catalog migration
Analytics, advertising feeds, and marketing automation
Additional training, documentation, or ongoing WooCommerce Managed Growth
Third-party theme, app, platform, transaction, and subscription fees are not included unless expressly stated in the proposal. Client-specific software is normally purchased and owned by the client.
Our build process
From discovery to launch, no surprises.
01
Discovery
We learn your business, goals, and catalog before anything is scoped.
02
Scope & proposal
A written proposal defines deliverables and final project price.
We collect product data, imagery, and the access we need to build.
05
Architecture & design
Store structure and design reviewed with you before development.
06
Build & configuration
Theme, catalog, payments, shipping, and integrations built out.
07
QA & test transaction
A real test purchase confirms checkout, taxes, and shipping work correctly.
08
Client review & approval
You review the finished store before it goes any further.
09
Final payment & transfer
Once approved and the final balance is paid, we transfer full store ownership and access to you, on your Managed Growth hosting allocation or the host of your choice.
10
Launch, training & support
Domain connected, launch completed, training delivered, and your post-launch support window begins.
A quick note on step 9: we build your store in a staging environment so you're not paying for hosting before there's anything to launch. Ownership and access transfer to you once the build is approved and the final balance is paid.
Commerce experience
What actually gets optimized.
Product & collection UX
Pages built around how shoppers actually decide to buy.
Merchandising
Featured products, cross-sells, and collection logic that earns its shelf space.
Search & filtering
Fast, accurate discovery, especially for larger catalogs.
Cart & checkout
Fewer steps, clearer costs, less second-guessing.
Mobile & trust
Fast, credible, and built for the device most shoppers are actually using.
Performance & accessibility
Lean themes and semantic markup, not another app slowing things down.
WooCommerce Managed Growth
Keep your storefront current after launch.
Unlike Shopify, WooCommerce does not come with hosting built in. Managed Growth includes an appropriate Synthos hosting allocation alongside SSL, backups, updates, and monitoring, so your store's infrastructure and your storefront work are handled under one plan. You own your business data and recurring plugin and third-party costs; Synthos provides the hosting allocation, maintenance, and contracted support below.
WooCommerce Managed Growth
$99/month
Synthos hosting allocation, SSL, and backups
Core, theme, and plugin updates with monitoring and a report
Both plans are prepaid monthly with automatic billing. Included hours don't roll over; approved extra work is billed at $100/hour. Initial term is three months, then month-to-month with 30 days' cancellation notice. Stores not built by Synthos require a $250 onboarding/store audit, waived for Synthos-built stores. Response targets are for initial response, not guaranteed resolution time.
Store examples and verified results go here once current projects are complete and merchants have approved sharing them.

Questions
Before you book
Who owns the store and its hosting?
You own the store, its data, and your merchant/payment accounts. WooCommerce itself does not include hosting, so unless you bring your own host, hosting is provided through the Managed Growth plan described above.
Why do prices say "starting at"?
Catalog size is only one part of a WooCommerce build. Design complexity, data quality, integrations, shipping rules, migration needs, custom development, and third-party systems can change the scope. After discovery, Synthos provides a written proposal defining the deliverables and final project price.
What counts as a product or variation?
A base product is the main item, such as a shirt. Its size and color combinations are variations. 10 shirts in 5 sizes and 4 colors is 10 base products and up to 200 variants. Categories organize products for browsing; they do not multiply the product count.
Are premium themes and plugins included?
No, unless a proposal says otherwise. Third-party theme, plugin, and license fees are separate and are generally paid directly by the client.
What happens after launch?
Your build package includes a post-launch support window. After that, WooCommerce Managed Growth or Growth+ covers ongoing hosting, updates, monitoring, and support hours.
How are WooCommerce projects billed?
WooCommerce Launch and WooCommerce Growth use a 50/50 schedule: 50% due at contract signing and kickoff, the remaining 50% due after approval and before transfer or launch. Custom projects may use a 40/30/30 milestone schedule instead: 40% at contract and project start, 30% at the defined design or development milestone, and 30% before transfer or launch. The applicable schedule is stated in your proposal and agreement. A store is not transferred or launched until the final required balance is paid.
Do you build new WooCommerce stores and redesign existing stores?
Yes, both. New builds and redesigns/replatforms follow the same discovery-first process.
Can you migrate us to WooCommerce?
Yes, this falls under WooCommerce Custom. Migration starts with a review of your current platform, catalog, and order history before we scope the move.
What if I need change requests after the project is approved?
Changes outside the agreed scope are quoted separately, or can be covered by your included Managed Growth hours if you have one active.
